The new St. Charles Resurrection Cemeteries Welcoming and Administration Center represents an ultimate effort to delicately synergize the aspects of “business” with the emotional sensitivity. The architecture, interior design, furniture, lighting, color palette, and various elements of the new center were designed to provide solace and a sensitive atmosphere to the families who are burying a loved one.
The design challenge was in the duality of the building’s program and the distinct way visitors experience the facility. The design expresses great restraint and respect for the people and their emotional when they experience the interior spaces of the new Welcoming and Administration Center.
