New Field is a Homerun for Bedford

Bedford, NY – Despite the unpredictable weather in the fall, construction continues at Bedford High School’s multi-purpose field. Designed by BBS Landscape Architects, the on-going multi-purpose field construction project is a testament to the school’s commitment to offering outstanding athletic and recreational opportunities to its students and the community. Once completed, it is expected to offer a year-round playing surface primarily for the school’s varsity baseball program. New site amenities include team dugouts, spectator seating areas, scoreboard, warning track with fencing, ballfield practice areas, asphalt access paths, storm water drainage system, and many more.

Synthetic turf product installed over shock pad designed for baseball. The differences in the turf coloring is caused by the directionality of the turf runs.  Once the infill is installed and all of the turf is standing straight up, it will all be one uniform color.
