Recent Outdoor Learning Areas

Patchogue, NY – Over the current academic year, our Landscape Architecture department has been actively engaged in designing innovative outdoor learning spaces for local schools, creating environments that foster both educational and recreational activities. We have focused on transforming school courtyards and underutilized outdoor areas into versatile places where students can engage in hands-on learning, social interaction, and creative play. Also, we have developed several amphitheaters and learning steps, providing schools with new spaces for outdoor performances, lectures, and group discussions, promoting a sense of community and enhancing the overall learning experience. Our LA department is fully committed to enhancing the educational landscape of local schools, ensuring that their outdoor spaces inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
