Progress Update: Oyster Bay High School

Oyster Bay, NY – Although school is out for the summer, construction continues at Oyster Bay High School on the new Music and Art Addition!

BBS designed the $6.99 million project that incorporates both the building improvements to the existing High School Music Wing, as well as a brand-new building addition on McCouns Lane. The new addition will feature state-of-the-art music and art program spaces, including Band & Choral Rooms with supporting practice and administrative areas, 3D Art Room, building lobby and a connector to the existing school. The exteriors were designed to faithfully emulate the traditional architectural vernacular and decorative façade elements of the existing Oyster Bay High School building, which is the pride of the local community. On the other hand, the interiors will feature latest audio/visual technology and equipment, modern sound/recording capabilities in the Band & Choral Rooms, and will be furnished with casework and cabinetry to support the school’s music and art curriculum.

The project is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2018.

The Oyster Bay High School Music and Art Addition continues to take shape over the summer.
