Garden City, NY – Construction is underway on the new Fitness and Wellness Center at Garden City High School, a key component of the District’s general school bond referendum approved in February 2024.
Located alongside the running track and overlooking the athletic turf field, stadium, and practice fields, the modern addition will feature modern architectural detailing and expansive glazed areas offering unobstructed views of sporting events. The first floor will include a welcoming lobby, spectator restrooms, a connector hallway to the existing school building, concessions with serving windows and storage areas, a Hall of Fame wall with exhibits, an open stairwell, and a covered outdoor terrace.
The second floor of the addition will feature a new 2,540-square-foot fitness center with weight and fitness equipment, massage and recovery areas, several offices, toilet facilities, and an outdoor viewing terrace overlooking the athletic complex.
Designed to bring fitness, wellness, and spectator amenities together in one dynamic facility, the new Center will become an exciting addition to Garden City High School’s athletic facilities. Go, Trojans!
