Port Washington, NY – Completed in the summer of 2020, the new Port Washington Middle School music addition not only provides much needed space for the school’s music arts curriculum, but has been instrumental in the district’s response to COVID. With the added expansive floor areas originally intended for music practice, in 2020-2021 the Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School was able to accommodate large group sessions and quickly adapt to the guidelines of socially-distanced instruction, as per NYSED and CDC.
