Port Jefferson, NY – Construction of the Outdoor Nature Area at the Port Jefferson Free Library has begun on the former residential parcel adjacent directly to the Library’s parking lot. The project was originally proposed to the Port Jefferson community in early 2021, with the intent to provide the residents with a complete nature experience and to offer an outdoor area to accommodate Library programs.
