It is with the deepest sorrow that we say goodbye to our friend, our colleague, our peer.
James W. Weydig, AIA, Senior Associate at BBS passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
His professionalism and contribution to our firm for the last 23 years is truly immeasurable. The countless lives he has touched through his talent and knowledge is vast and will be felt forever both in the lives and careers of our youngest staff to the children’s lives he made better through his love of architecture and design.
We will miss Jim most though, for who he was after 5:00pm. His friendship, enthusiasm, his laughter, and his love for life will be how he is most remembered. A gentleman and a leader whom we were privileged to know.
Jim is survived by his wife, Paula, and his son, Ryan, who he was so proud of. Our hearts are broken for their loss.
Rest peacefully, Jim. You will be forever missed.
