Bohemia, NY – The newly completed Café at Connetquot Public Library has been transformed into a comfortable and welcoming space designed for a variety of uses. As the interior designer on this project, our goal was to create a practical and flexible environment that encourages both social interaction and quiet study. New furniture includes a mix of round café tables with stackable chairs, lounge seating arranged in small groupings, and custom banquettes with patterned fabric backs. The furniture was selected for durability and ease of use, while still offering a modern and coordinated look.

Our renovation work included new ceiling tiles with integrated LED lighting for better visibility and energy efficiency. The flooring at the lobby area was also updated with wood-look vinyl planks, providing a clean and durable surface. Wall finishes were kept simple with neutral and muted tones, accented by deeper colors to define different areas of the café. A vending area and high-counter seating were added to offer more functional choices for patrons and visitors. Overall, the new Connetquot Public Library Café now serves as an inviting part of the library for both individuals and groups.
