Karalisa R. Grundner

AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Associate

Karalisa is BBS’s Senior Associate Architect. She is responsible for a day- to- day agendas and project management of various multi-million architectural assignments. Currently, Karalisa oversees various K-12 educational and municipal projects that require an integrated approach to the project management. She is involved from the schematic design, through design development to construction document preparation, bidding, and construction administration. Personally performing all phases of architectural planning and design, she is also well-versed in client presentations, cost estimating, contract administration, and – last but not least – historic preservation.

Her historic preservation expertise spans tasks such as restoration feasibility studies, building condition surveys, planning and budgeting for structure stabilization, repair and restoration activities, and include construction document quality control, interaction with historic and cultural agencies, and oversight of contractor compliance with historic preservation procedures and construction techniques.
