Kevin J. Walsh
AIA, ALEP, LEED AP, Partner
A BBS Partner primarily responsible for planning and design, Kevin has more than 25 years of diverse experience in visioning, planning and designing public and private schools, university buildings, hotels, public libraries and most recently a 100-bed East End campus for addiction treatment and research. Passion, empathy, care and diligence go into each project, especially those with complex programmatic and functional requirements. Kevin has been certified as an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) by the Association for Learning Environments, a distinction currently held by less than 300 of the most qualified designers and planners of school facilities in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australasia.
Kevin applies ALEP principles to all project types, since people, connections and community are central to our work. He is passionate about a community-oriented approach and believes in bringing all stakeholders together as early in the design process as possible in order to generate new ideas, establish collaborative working relationships, and ultimately design inspiring and relevant works of architecture that provide lasting value.
